The School for Wise Children Summer Camp

10am - 6pm*, Monday 24th - Friday 28th July

Venue: The Lucky Chance, Frome

Cost: Free!

Assistance with accommodation, travel and subsistence is available.

We’ll be inviting twelve outstanding performers to join us in our new venue in the beautiful market town of Frome, Somerset, for our 2023 residential course, The School for Wise Children Summer Camp.

Perfectly observed performance, soul melting music and flawless ensemble work are the hallmarks of a Wise Children show. We’re looking for creative performers interested in finding out how we do it!

Led by the Wise Children directing team, the Summer Camp is a week-long performers' course which will include acting, singing, dancing, puppetry, and more, as you learn to create playful, ensemble, music-filled theatre in the style of Wise Children.

Who we're looking for: We’re looking for performers serious about working in the industry. No professional training is needed, but all students will need to be able to perform, sing and move confidently - so we’re expecting most applicants will have at least some previous performing experience.

We are committed to equal opportunities and actively welcome candidates from all backgrounds. To ensure our training is as accessible as possible, support with travel, accommodation and subsistence is available.

If you have any questions about the course, please contact helen@wisechildren.co.uk

*Exact working hours TBC.

How to apply:

Please fill in our form and send us a video application. For help recording your video click here.

•  An introduction: tell us a bit about you and why you want to do this course. (Roughly one minute in length).

Your piece (or turn) could include acting, moving, singing, instruments, puppetry, languages, standing on your head or anything other skill you’d like to show off.
