Introduction to Movement Direction for Theatre

Join Wise Children’s Movement Director Etta Murfitt, and performer Nandi Bhebhe, to delve into movement making for theatre. Participants will discover techniques for creating choreography and learn how movement direction can help form the language of a piece of theatre. Through workshops and invaluable one-on-one time with Etta, you will investigate different styles of movement and develop your practice as a choreographer. Expect games, tasks and physical sessions that push you out of your comfort zone.
We're looking for people with dance training or experience, who want to begin their Movement Direction journey.

Dates - Monday 6th July to Friday 17th July. The course will comprise 9 hours of contact time on Zoom, plus time spent working independently on projects.

Etta is Wise Children's Movement Director.

Etta is also Associate Artistic Director at Matthew Bourne's New Adventures, and an Associate Artist with Kneehigh Theatre Company.
Nandi Bhebhe
Nandi is performing in Wise Children’s upcoming production of Wuthering Heights.
